Description:
Our client is a pioneer in its industry, providing cutting edge solutions to companies all over the globe. They are currently in the market for a Controller to work closely with the VP of Finance, completing a wide-range of tasks and supporting a number of operational business units.
Responsibilities:
• Implement a project accounting system that will accurately capture labour costs; provide cost updates; and project revenue and cash flows.
• Complete monthly reporting, budgets, monthly forecasts, management packages, and ad hoc reporting for Business Units.
• Prepare, document and test internal controls as needed and conduct regular risk assessments of the operations.
• Play a lead role in the maintenance of the ERP system, tax compliance, and the transition plan to IFRS.
Experience:
• A Canadian accounting designation is required i.e. CA, CMA, or CGA.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant manufacturing and previous project accounting experience is a MUST.
• Previous experience supervising a small team in a growing environment.
